Canals like this are quite common in my hometown, they make a great hangout place... and the running water gives a healthy massage to the body. Click on the picture to enlarge it.
Hi Karen, thanks for stopping by in Perth. I've just been having a very enjoyable look through your pictures, love this one above it really looks like a fun way to cool down on a hot day.
Karen - where do you live? I've been trying to guess by looking at your pictures but can't figure it out. It would be nice to have the answer in your 'about me' blurb.
Saw similar scenes in Bali when I was visiting a couple of months ago, I thought at the time that I wished I too lived such a simple and free existence.
I am just gonna put up pictures and scenes that catch my interest. I do like nature and I like fiddling around with a camera so as I go through life in South India, any 'moment' that seems worthy of being captured and frozen in time will find a way to my blog... so that years from now, when I am well into the fossilizing stage, future generations will see the world through my eyes and try to sustain her. I wish I could do more for our enchanting planet, after all she is the basis of life...

Randy, thanks for stopping by. I couldn't take a picture of the devotees walking on hot burning coals, they do that during the hindu festival here.
Perth daily Photo, thanks for dropping by. Yeah, since India is perpetually hot... these water bodies are a blessing.
Wow! I'd love to bathe in these waters. It certainly looks relaxing and I bet it's refreshing in the hot months too!

Lovely photos...
Nathalie, thanks for dropping by... I live in India. And I should have added that to the about me section... did it now.
