Gentle Giant...

This beautiful fellow crossed my house early one morning... I do hope his mahout is a nice person and that this gentle giant is having a peaceful life. Click on the picture for a larger view.

Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.

Smokey

Found this little fella outside on my terrace... one cold January morning.

If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies.

Mahabalipuram: Rock Elephant

Imagine carving this out of a solid chunk of rock... Aaron Ralston would appreciate the effort that has gone into this ancient sculpture. Check out the folds on its ears, do click on the picture for a better view.

The smiling bug...

I found this yellow dot running around in my room, and picked it up. It was a yellow and black stripped bug and it looked like it was smiling... really. Click on the picture to enlarge it, then you can see an insect smiling...

A friendly neighbour...

With the destruction of boundaries...
You get to meet friendly neighbours... like Princy.

Princy is a cute little thing...

Love your neighbour, yet don't pull down your hedge.

Droopy Tongue

Saw this fella at the beach a few days back...

The more I see of man, the more I like dogs.

Fergie all decked up

This darling little mutt (Fergie) makes me laugh, she is all love. Here after the makeup, we had to lure her with one of her toy bottles to stand still... that's why the heart felt longing in her big brown eyes.
Who can resist such soulful eyes, she's one hugable dog... I miss* her.* Don't worry, she is still alive and kicking... and from what I hear happily pregnant too. We had to give her away, so many things were happening (back home) and there was nobody to take care of her.

A dog is not 'almost human' and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.
